Pre/Post Treatment Advice

Pre-Treatment:

If you are pregnant/trying to conceive or breastfeeding, you are unable to have any aesthetic treatments
If you suffer with cold sores and are interested in lip filler, please book a consultation and we can look into preventative medication to avoid an outbreak of cold sores. Dermal fillers in the lip area can trigger the cold-sore virus due to trauma to the lip.
If you are taking antibiotics for an active infection, you are unable to have treatments with dermal fillers until you have finished the course
Some medical conditions/medications mean you are unable to have treatments, please contact the clinic or book a consultation to discuss further
Please do not wear facial makeup to dermal filler appointments, this increases your risk of infection/further complications

Post-Treatment:

No makeup on the treated area until the next day
Avoid touching the area for the rest of the day apart from usual washing face, avoid excessively rubbing or scrubbing the area
No microneedling/chemical peels/tattooing/laser of the area for 2 weeks, as a guideline, please seek further information from the practitioner and inform them you have received an aesthetic treatment.
Botulinum Toxin – it is not necessary to stay upright or refrain from moving your face.
No gym/excessive exercise for the rest of the day to minimise infection risk/swelling in the area.
